We send your input (stories, qualities, tone preferences) to OpenAI's GPT model via Vercel AI Gateway. The AI analyzes speech structure patterns, tone conventions, and storytelling techniques to draft your speech. It doesn't "know" the person—it organizes what YOU tell it.
🛡️ Your Data Stays Private
We never store your speeches on our servers. Everything you create stays in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). Only YOU can access your drafts. When you generate a speech, your input is sent to OpenAI's API, processed, and returned—but we don't keep copies.
✏️ Editing is Essential
AI-generated drafts are starting points. We STRONGLY encourage editing. Add inside jokes, adjust phrasing to match your speaking style, include sensory details only you know. The best speeches blend AI structure with human authenticity.

Technical Details
AI Model
We use OpenAI's GPT model (specifically configured for speech writing tasks) accessed through Vercel AI Gateway. This ensures reliable, high-quality generation with proper rate limiting and error handling.
Data Flow
- You enter stories and preferences in your browser
- Browser sends encrypted request to our server
- Server forwards to OpenAI API via Vercel AI Gateway
- AI generates speech text
- Server returns speech to your browser
- Browser saves speech in local IndexedDB (not on server)
Client-Side Storage
All speeches you create are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. This means:
- Your speeches persist across browser sessions
- Only accessible on your device
- Not synced across devices
- Cleared if you clear browser data
- Never uploaded to our servers
No Account Required
We don't require user accounts, passwords, or email addresses. This minimizes data collection and keeps your speech writing completely private and local.
